A workgroup of the university of Delft is creating electricity with a kite. They were testing on the Dutch island Texel. You see several launches of the kite, one from the ground and two with the help of a blimp. The tests are part of the ‘Laddermill’ project by Wubbo Ockels, which aims to create energy from wind more efficiently than windmills.

Westward Ho once again held the fantastic Atmos event , this video was taken on the Saturday, winds were 25-30mph cross onshore, I was flying the 4m Access Mk1, riding the PTW Cheetah and was hitting around 50mph on nearly every run

Who knows which is the best pair of sunglasses for windsurfing? What brand and model do you suggest?

1. A polarized, UV 100% protection and shatter, scratch proof lenses
2. The lenses have to be hydrophobic and of a particular shape so as the water drops do not stay on the lenses
3. The lenses visibility must be good for usage on the water
4. The frame must be rigid and it should not slip off the face
5. In case it slips of the face, it must float on the water
So far, I have distinguished two products. These are
1.Oakley’s Polarized Water Jacket as well as
2.DirtyDog’s Wet Polarized glass
Does anybody have any of the two?
